A fan tribute site for
Scott Grimes
This may come to a surprise to a lot of people but I think I need to join the 21st century!! I was never a big TV watcher nor do I like a lot of music. Being an original Beatles fan and a Trekkie of the 1960's, I sort of hid myself from the complexities of the world. Television, especially sitcoms were never my thing. Science Fiction and drama were more of my escape from reality. That being said, through the years, I found myself drawn and becoming obsessed with various TV programs and eventually drawn into a certain actor. There was always something about each one that attracted me to them. For the most part, it was when the show went into syndication and ran everyday that grabbed a hold of me. The music of the 60's and 70's are most enjoyable to me, although I do enjoy hearing classical music and have an entire collection of Classical CDs. Johnny Mathis is another artist that I enjoy as well as the early Beatles music. Fast forward to my 20 years on the Internet. To my surprise, I have found others who share my interest in various passions. Some of the passions are in limbo due to various fans who have ruined it for others. One of the other passions involving Star Trek TOS, I was lurking within a group one day and someone had posted something about The Orville...like it was being compared to Star Trek, etc. Out of curiosity, I located The Orville and became hooked with the first episode. Although, there was no set character I became obsessed with, I did enjoy it very much. Season 2 finally came and suddenly, Gordon Malloy occupied my brain. Granted, I thought the character was childish during the first season, but there was something about this man in the season 2 opener that grabbed a hold of me. I had fallen in love with the character. Being the web master that I have been for 20 years, I decided Gordon needed his own tribute site. All my websites were fan sites and completed in a combination of HTML and CSS. Before I even completed season 1 of The Orville on Malloy's Mission, I discovered, through The Orville Identity part 1 that the actor playing Gordon sings. As resistance was futile on my part, I came across Scott Grimes singing Over The Rainbow when he was about 11 years old. OMG, what a voice!! I then found him in a couple more YouTube videos singing with a couple others on Walking in Memphis and I Fought the Law. OMG....this man also plays instruments!! Where has he been all my life??? LOL I decided it was time to join the 21st century!! Resistance became even more futile and the web master itched to create about site honoring Scott Grimes. Looking around the Internet, I was unable to locate any websites other than what fans has posted on Social Media. The “official” site link on his IMDB led to a blank site and the dot com site was about something completely different. Facebook is my only social media platform, although I did have a Google Plus account that I am never at. As for Twitter, I deleted the only account I never used many years ago. Instagram doesn't interest me as well as other places. I only connect with Pinterest through Facebook when I am trying to locate something which is something like once every 3 years. So that brings me the Scott Grimes Network website I just created. It is a work in progress and the first time I looked at Scott's IMBD, I got overwhelmed. OMG....I thought DeForest Kelley was busy when he was alive!! At any rate, if there is a reason there are no Scott Grimes websites by fans or himself, I do not know. I do understand that a website is a lot of work and tracking down stuff takes a lot of time as I am finding out with Scott. Been there, done that with many websites in the past. I am thinking that the Scott Grimes Network is probably my 30th site. The best way to contact me is through Facebook with the public group Star Trek Fans Character Appreciation of which I am the creator and admin or through my timeline.
